Marshall Marcus

I want to share my deepest condolences with you all after the loss of your truly amazing mother (and wife). I have been thinking of Allyn and filing through my memories of her and I am left with a deep impression of a beautiful person, inside and out, who cherished the most important things in life, most of all, her love for family. Allyn was an incredibly warm person. I remember staying at your house when I interviewed for residency positions in Long Island. I had a long conversation with Allyn in the kitchen, mostly about women and dating, but we also talked about life and goals – specifically, my career goals. Allyn was full of valuable, motherly advice. She was an engaged listener and radiated empathy and understanding. She was also encouraging, and emphasized the importance of character and family values. When it came to celebrating, particularly at weddings and bar/bat-mitzvahs, Allyn knew how to party, hard. I recall her radiating, gorgeous smile. She will be missed at future family endeavors, but, her passion for life and love will endure. Her memory IS a blessing. Every one of us is blessed for having had Allyn in our lives. She lived a dignified life and the world, and each of us is better for having experienced Allyn’s love and positive energy.

Love,
Marshall Marcus
